Shelby and Kayla first became friends while working together as cardiac nurses. Almost 4 short years later they have both transitioned to Critical Care. They are undoubtedly each other's go to. Between Grey's Anatomy marathons, Harry Potter references, Home decor shopping, coffee shops, and wee hours of the morning heart to hearts, Shelby continues to be Kayla's most very best friend. 

Together from the very beginning, Kayla and Catherine have a unique bond that only sisters could experience. She is always there to loan support and an honest opinion. Catherine keeps Kayla on her toes by coming up with new recipes to conquer, her love for animals, and also her love for Supernatural (but really, just Jensen Ackles) Kayla is very proud of her little sister and can't wait to start their own family traditions. 

Emily and Kayla attended nursing school and graduated from Cumberland University together in 2013. They both served as representatives for the Student Nurses Association and became fast friends through their coursework. That very same friendship is what has brought them to appreciate each other even more outside of their education. Now, as co-workers, they continue their beautiful friendship with Panera dates and shopping therapy.  

Kenzie has always been considered an older sister rather than a cousin. Growing up, Kayla idolized Makenzie. She loved going to visit because that meant she got to play with her make-up and clothes. Fast forward to today and not much has changed. She has a reserved seat in Kayla's inner circle and is also protective just like an older sister. She continues to be a great influence and encourages her sense of travel and reading. 

Alice and Kayla have had a close relationship since they began working together as cardiac nurses. Alice loves genealogy and encouraged Kayla to discover hers. She's also responsible for Kayla's love of the Outlander book series. She's great at throwing dinner parties and hosting get-togethers. More than anything, she always has a pot of coffee and conversation ready at any moment.
