Our love story began in 2012, thru mutal friends. Mike was living in Houston at the time and was visiting his Lafayette friends and family. We just so happen to be at the same event and had that special connection from the minute we both said "Hello". The following weekend, we enjoyed some good times and laughter watching the LSU/Alabama game at our friends camp, which is now a joke that our dating anniversary is always the date that LSU plays Alabama, which if you know that date is always different every year :) Our first official date, Mike took me to eat some good ol' Pizza Village and Bordens ice cream (he defintely knew how to win a Lafayette girls heart lol). We knew the long distance relationship would be challening but Mike would never miss a weekend to be with me and that is how our love bloomed. 6 years worth of memories and we created a life together in Baton Rouge. We share our love of fitness and Saints football, purchased our first home and welcomed our pup Jackson to our family. Christmas Eve 2017, Mike popped the question in front of my entire immediate family and had me shocked and in tears. It was more than i could ever ask for in a proposal and symbolizes the love we share and we cant wait for this exciting new chapter to begin! |
