Elliott and Monique met in high school, 13 years ago! They dated for a couple of weeks, before they went their separate ways. She had always planned to move back to California, and she did. He knew they were meant to be, but he had to let her go... After a short time, she moved back to Texas to be with her family again (she missed them too much)! So a few years had passed before they saw each other again. It was a new school year, and they ran into each other on their way to class. Well, what do you know? Their classrooms were right next to each other! Between school and work, there wasn't much time to talk before or after class, but it was always nice when they had a little time to discuss their class, since they were both in Chemistry that semester. Finally, winter break rolled around, and she had some free time. She invited him to her best friend's NYE/birthday party, and despite having worked a long shift that day, he showed up to spend time with her. She thought that was the sweetest thing :) They spent the rest of that night learning about each other... about who the other person had grown to be over the years. They were having the best time! The night turned to day, he walked her to her car, and they each went home and fell asleep thinking about each other. AND THAT'S WHERE IT ALL BEGAN... (again) He was RIGHT! They were meant to be <3 Fate had brought them back together. She has always been grateful that they went their separate ways all those years ago. You see, she was determined to move back to California back then... and if they stayed together, she may have never moved to California (to realize how much she wanted to be back in Texas). Also, he was offered a scholarship in another state... and if they were together, he would never really know if he turned it down for him, or for her. They both made critical decisions in their lives, decisions they needed to make on their own, for themselves; and they did. So in the end, fate brought them back together at the perfect time <3 Through the years, they have learned, loved, and grown together. They've graduated college, moved in together, and raised a puppy (with the help of their first fur baby). They have so much ahead of them, but they could never imagine living this crazy life without each other <3 |
