I received MSU football tickets from my boss as a gift.  My Aunt Penny is a huge MSU fan, so I had given them to her to attend.  The game was scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2008.

On the Friday before the game, the girls and I went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  While at dinner, Kara was texting Michael and all of a sudden the boys showed up.  When we finished eating we joined the boys at their table.  During the conversation, my phone rang.  Aunt Penny had let me know that she was unable to attend the football game.  Immediately after getting off the phone, I realized that it was going to be difficult to find someone to use the tickets under such short notice.  I decided to seize the moment, even though I did not know him that well, and looked right at Dale and said, "want to go to a football game?"

It was like hanging out with someone you have known for years.  Strangely, people kept asking us how long we had been dating ;)

Most have heard the story...

I usually travel to the cottage for Labor Day weekend, but I had my gallbladder removed and money was tight, so the girls (Kaylee & Kara) and I decided to stay in town for the first time in a few years.

My Aunt Penny was having a cook-out that Monday and wanted to know if the girls and I wanted to join.  

I was taking it easy and relaxing on a floatation device in a 3 foot pool when a black blazer pulled up in the driveway.  Cameron's friend, Allison Tremblay, had invited Dale and Michael to the cook-out.  Dale gets out of the truck, high tails it pool side just to begin splashing people inside the pool.  My first impression was, this guy needs to calm down ;)

Michael and Kara hit it off and began hanging out.

If I would have went to the cottage that year, I may not have met those two amazing men!
