Clayton proposed on my 30th birthday while we were in Cancun! It was perfect and the best birthday gift I've ever gotten. It's gonna be hard to top it lol.

On our first night he suggested that we wake up early the next morning and watch the sunrise because we were going to have the best view. I knew we would have to be up early but I agreed and we set our alarm. Beep, beep, beep the alarm rang that morning, and me being me, I protested to getting up but he said "no, come on, we're already awake, lets go!" So I roll myself out of bed, still half aseelp, and throw on a sweat shirt over my pj's. His response was "is that what your wearing" lol. I should have known at that point that something was up. But I said "what do I need to get dressed for, no ones gonna be up this early but us and I need some coffee!!" lol.

We finally leave the room and head out to the beach and sit on the end of the pier waiting for the sun. It was kind of cloudy that morning so we couldn't really see it at first. Then Clayton starts to get all fidgety and says to me "well I wanted this to be perfect but I know that not everything will always be perfect but....will you marry me!?" And pulls the ring out of his pocket. I was speachless. The ring was beautiful and exactly what I had imagined. He pulls me out of my shock and says "you haven't said yes yet" and then I look at him with tears in my eyes and say "yes, of course!!!!". Then the clouds started to disappear and we got to watch the most beautiful sunrise. It was truely perfect.
