John and I have know each other for quite a long time. I grew up with him being my brother's friend. So, I thought of him as being much older than myself. But, as we get older, 5 years, doesn't seem long at all. We were lucky enough to fall for one another at, where else, Dead Freddies, the local dive bar. A match made in heaven. We have a lot of the same friends, and he has known my family practically forever. So, it was an easy transition.
