Mike and I met at work in October of 2005. Mike was a service advisor at Leith Audi when I started working there as the cashier/receptionist. At the time I was dating someone else and Mike had been single but dating here and there for a while. I remember leaving work one night during my first week there and calling Deanna (my maid of honor) and telling her that I met the guy I was going to marry at work. She thought I was crazy, like I said, I had been dating someone else for 3 and 1/2 years at that point, but when I looked at Mike, I just knew. We hung out with other people from work a few times over the course of the 7 months and somewhere in that time my last relationship ended. Somewhere along the way, we decided that we were meant to be more than friends. On May 2, 2006 we went on our first date to the Bass Lake Draft House and watched a hockey game (it was the year the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley cup and it was the playoffs). We went to Wilmington, N.C. for our 2nd anniversary and had a great weekend. It became one of our favorite places, so when Mike asked me to go back for a random weekend it seemed a little out of the ordinary, but I still wasn't sure what Mike had in store for us that weekend. On November 15, 2008 in Wilmington, in front of the Cape Fear River, Mike got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. We called our family and closest friends to tell them that we were getting married. Then we went to a restaurant right on the river called The George for dinner, and from there went to a bar called Rum Runners to celebrate. The past 6 months have been a whirlwind of planning and celebrating. Our wedding is set for May 8, 2010. On March 14th we celebrated our engagement with a party at the Stone Gate Club House in Wake Forest, and we had friends and family come from New York, South Carolina and of course here in North Carolina. We have lots of planning and more celebrating to do in the year or so, so we will keep you updated on what's going on.

The reception is going to be right at the hotel with the ceremony. Our wedding Ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm on May 8, 2010 at the Mariott at RTP. The cocktail hour and reception will follow immediately in the Ballroom.
