  | Josh proposed at Big Sky Resort before we took off for a day of skiing. We were staying in a condo with our friends from Michigan, Doug and Molly (who had no idea Josh was going to propose). He put a lot of thought into all of it! He new I wanted a ring that was different, so he chose a sapphire to propose with. He chose Big Sky Resort because we spend a lot of time skiing and snowboarding there. I was definately surprised, although I figured it was going to happen at some point! He didn't want me stressed with school, so he chose the last weekend of the ski season when I would only have a couple weeks of school left. Although it was a lot less extravagent than what I expected of Josh, it was perfect in every way!
| | Well, since proposals are usually such a big deal, I figured I would try and make this one special. I knew I had to be careful about how I set it up, as inquisite as Darcy always is I wanted it to be a big surprise, something she was not expecting. That is why the jeweler was the only person that knew it was happening. I also thought it would be fun for everyone else to be surprised also. I know a lot of people were expecting it awhile ago but some things work the best with proper timing. There were a lot of different ideas that went through head and some rather intricate details of how I could do this. Each one got more involved and detail orientated to try and make the moment that much more special. But after a lot of thought I figured that I was getting away from the hardest four words a guy will ever say, which is the part that still makes a proposal a proposal. I wanted it to be special between us, no fancy frills, fireworks or streamers, just us. Thats why simple little question at Big Sky made me the luckiest guy around. | | We like to do anything outdoors with each other. We like to ski and snowboard, slalom ski and wakeboard, camp, fish, boat, snowshoe, cross country ski. We like to do basically anything that is an expensive sport! We like to eat out a lot too! Josh loves Jimmy Johns, whereas my tastes are a little more expensive! (Thanks to my aunt Christie!) My favorite restaurant to eat at in Billings with Josh is Cafe De Camp. If you haven't tried it you really should! It's all local, MT made food. | | Josh and I had a hard time deciding on a destination wedding. I was set on having a wedding in the mountains, with close friends and family. This was impossible because we did not want to hurt anyones feelings by having a small, local wedding. Josh wanted a destination wedding from the beginning and I, of course, didn't listen to him. He is usually right but I don't like to admit that! We both wanted a small wedding and after a couple months of stress trying to figure out a guest list, a venue, catering, etc., we decided on a destination wedding wich the help of Josh's sister-in-law, Chelsea. My mom kept reassuring me that everything would come together, but I didn't believe her! It has come together afterall, and we are extremely excited about how it has all worked out, and we can't wait to spend our special day with all of you in CANCUN! | | We would like to thank all of you for being a part of our lives, and for considering coming with us to Cancun. The support and love you all share with us is more than we could ever ask for, and we are so blessed to have all of you. |
