The past 20 months have been life-changing for everyone. Amid so many challenging and scary things, we are so very grateful that we met each other and fell in love. We are so very thrilled and excited to make our love public and forever on March 30, 2022. As a little girl, I always dreamed about my wedding. I had elaborate visions of what this special day would be like. Fast forward to now, we had to do a lot of reflection and recalibration. COVID-19, health scares, and reflections about the future helped us to reach the decision of having a microwedding in 2022. To be honest---there were some tears involved. But we are SO excited and thrilled about our decision. Our small wedding will be absolutely gorgeous and focused on the most important thing—OUR LOVE. <3
We have secured a photographer (Rachel Levine Photography) and Event Designer (The Picnic Plug) to help make our day special AF. We look forward to the next 4 months of planning the final details and sharing wedding pictures and videos.
Here are a few things we have learned in this wedding planning process:
1. Center the love between you and your partner. We truly believe in the idea that the wedding is a day. The marriage is forever.
2. Challenge the ideals and socialized messages you have about weddings. Make decisions aligned to what is MOST important to you and your partner. Fight the wedding capitalism.
3. Get that spreadsheet and Pinterest board, now!
4. Try your best to fight the urge to stress and get excited.
We are so excited to marry each other and formally start our life together. We are committed to enjoying the next 132 days until we say, "I DO".
