HOW WE MET...
For years Laura wanted to learn to rock climb so when she discovered a new rock gym near her office she didn't hesitate to sign up. About a month later, Laura's new climbing buddies brought their friend Gabe to the gym. Once the two were introduced, they quickly discovered that they had a lot more in common than just rock climbing.

A couple weeks later in the spring, Gabe took Laura on their official "first date." It was a date that would put an end to all future first dates. It was an amazing picnic on the DC tidal basin while the cherry blossoms were blooming. Gabe cooked all the food himself - a special gourmet Japanese meal - and brought with him "Motts" Reisling and "Ocean Spray" Merlot. :-) It was the most memorable date for both of them and they couldn't wait to start the rest of their lives together.

THE PROPOSAL...
On Dec. 9, 2007, Gabe took Laura to celebrate her birthday at the Boar's Head Inn in Charlottesville Virginia. As they strolled around the Inn's beautiful lake, he completely knocked her socks off with a sincerely awesome proposal. Laura accepted immediately and there must have been at least 30 minutes of joyful tears (all from Laura, of course!).
